Description

Working Principle: When the engine coolant temperature is low, the refined paraffin wax inside the thermostat's temperature-sensitive element remains solid and has a small volume. Under spring force, the rubber valve closes, cutting off the channel between the engine and the radiator. Coolant circulates within the engine (small circulation), allowing the engine to warm up quickly. As the coolant temperature rises, the paraffin gradually melts into a liquid, increasing in volume and compressing the rubber tube. The contraction of the rubber tube exerts an upward thrust on the push rod, which in turn applies a downward counter-thrust to the valve, gradually opening it. When the coolant temperature reaches the thermostat's set threshold, the rubber valve fully opens, and coolant flows through the radiator, thermostat valve, and water pump back to the engine (large circulation) for heat dissipation.
